Get to Know Our Company's Owner John Center

Owner of Boston Electric LLC John Carter had a choice to go to a traditional high school in his hometown of Arlington, MA, or attend a brand-new trade school called Minuteman Tech in Lexington, MA that served 12 cities and towns throughout the metro Boston, MA area.

He decided to attend trade school and majored in electrical wiring. Upon graduating, he received his diploma and certificate in electrical wiring.

A few months after graduation, John decided to serve his country and joined the United States Navy. He was stationed on the USS Piedmont, a Destroyer Tender (AD-17), in Norfolk, VA.

Beginning His Electrical Technician Journey

After serving honorably in the Navy, John completed his 4-year electrical apprenticeship and acquired a journeyman and master electrical contractor license in Massachusetts. After this, he owned and operated an electrical business in Marlborough, MA.

John then moved to Florida in 2001 and worked for various contractors. He eventually made his way to Palm Beach County, FL and worked for Palm Beach International Airport. Presently, he holds a Broward and Palm Beach County, FL journeyman license and a certified electrical contractor license for the State of Florida.
